CENTRAL AFRICA: PANGOLIN TRAFFICKING GENERATES NEARLY 419 BILLION CFA FRANCS EACH YEAR

The pangolin, the world’s most poached mammal, is illegally hunted for its scales, primarily for the Asian market. A recent investigation by three fellows in Central Africa uncovered a trafficking network worth approximately 419 billion CFA francs annually, revealing corruption among officials and the ecological risks involved.

Three fellows are publishing the first series of these investigations this morning, essentially based on advanced #DataJournalism and #OSINT techniques.
